Hardgate, Lochrutton and Springholm primary schools have enjoyed the start of session 2020-2021 with a new partnership head teacher.
Before coming to Galloway Vicky Donaldson worked in education for more than 25 years in both Edinburgh and Midlothian, 13 of those as a head teacher.
She has a wide range of experience in both early years and primary school leadership and has a special interest in working with children with additional needs and those experiencing speech, language and communication difficulties.
Ms Donaldson also likes to support literacy skills and is passionate about reading, both professionally and personally.
She said: “I’m so happy to be taking over such lovely schools.
“They are all very individual and such happy places to be, with wonderful children and such supportive and skilled staff.
“I am enjoying living in Dumfries and Galloway, it is such a beautiful area with so much to offer, especially the beaches!’
