New Delhi visa centres remain open amid ongoing protests

VFS Global on Thursday said its Visa Application Centres (VACs) in New Delhi remain open and operational during regular business hours despite ongoing protests in parts of the national capital. The company also announced flexibility for applicants whose travel may be affected by disruptions linked to the protests.

In an advisory issued to visa applicants in New Delhi, VFS Global said customers arriving earlier or later than their scheduled appointment time would be accommodated wherever operationally feasible.

The advisory is aimed at helping applicants who may face delays in reaching the centres because of the ongoing protests in parts of the city.

"In view of the ongoing protests in parts of New Delhi, we would like to inform applicants that our Visa Application Centres in the city remain open and operational during regular business hours," the advisory said in a post on X.

It added, "To assist customers who may experience travel disruptions, applicants arriving earlier or later than their scheduled appointment time will be accommodated wherever operationally feasible."
