BHOPAL: A total of 14 new Covid-19 positive cases were reported in Madhya Pradesh on Monday taking the tally of positive cases reported so far in the state to 7,92,635, as per the state health bulletin.
Active Covid cases in the state too are high at 103 — up from 83 active cases reported on September 1.
No new case was reported from 45 districts of the state. Maximum cases were reported from Bhopal district where five people tested positive, followed by three new cases in Sagar and two new cases in Jabalpur. One new case was reported each from Chhattarpur, Dhar, Indore and Jhabua districts.
A positivity rate — the number of people testing positive out every 100 samples tested — of 0.02% was reported on Monday.
As many as 55952 samples were tested in the day and of it, 14 were found positive. Thus on an average, one person out of every 4,000 who were tested, was found to be positive.
A total of 14 people recovered from the disease on Monday taking the count of recoveries so far to 7,82,009.
No death was reported in the state on Monday and the death toll due to Covid-19 remained at 10523.
