A new coronavirus testing centre is set to open in Ramsbottom.
The facility will be based behind the Ramsbottom Pool and Leisure Centre off Stubbins Lane, with access from Great Eaves Road.
It will open on Thursday, November 26, and will be available to anyone who has booked a test, as long as they have presented with symptoms of Covid-19.
Testing centres in Bury suffered from some problems early in the pandemic, with long queues reported around walk-in facilities in the town.
However, this location will be the latest in a number of new centres which have opened across the borough, including walk-in locations at the Mosses Centre and Chesham Fold.
The Ramsbottom site will be operated by the Department for Health and Social Care on behalf of Bury Council.
Coun Andrea Simpson, the local authority's cabinet member for health and wellbeing, said: “Testing is crucial in tackling this pandemic, and we are delighted that centres are now open in all parts of the borough to make it easy for people to get a test.
“With walk-through, drive-through, bookable and home tests now all available, local people have a number of options.
“Please only request a test if you have symptoms and, if you book an appointment that you decide you don’t need, please cancel it to free it up for someone else who needs a test."
The Ramsbottom testing centre will be open seven days a week from 8am to 8pm. To book a test, go to www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test.
