New Champions League introduction released - and Liverpool fans will love it

The opening titles for Champions League matches are known across the world.

The anthem and computer generated stadium feature every time and are synonymous with the world's most prestigious club football tournament.

Every year the introductory credits are changed to reflect the competition that has just been.

Liverpool won the most recent European Cup 2-0 against Tottenham in Madrid with goals from Mohamed Salah and Divock Origi sealing victory for Jurgen Klopp's side.

The new introduction, which will be played before matches next season, rolls through with highlights of Gini Wijnaldum, Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi all playing in the tournament last year.

And then, as it comes to an end, the Liverpool players appear on screen on the podium at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium after beating Spurs and captain Jordan Henderson is shown lifting Ol' Big Ears to the heavens as the music comes to a crescendo.

Next season as that sequence ends with the current European champions programmes and matches will begin.
