Network 10 Shuts Down Rumours Claiming Andy Allen Was Leaving MasterChef Australia

Network 10 has shut down rumours that fan-favourite MasterChef Australia judge Andy Allen was set to leave and be replaced by a fellow star of the beloved cooking competition.

Late last month, the reality TV rumour mill was in overdrive after a source claimed to Woman’s Day that Andy would be taking a step back from the MasterChef Kitchen following the birth of his first child, Jude Jackson Allen.

However, Network 10 has swiftly shut down those rumours, stating that Andy “is essential” to MasterChef‘s magic.

“We love our MasterChef judges, and so do the audience. Andy is essential to the show, and we cannot imagine MasterChef without him,” a Network 10 spokesperson told Chattr.

Who was rumoured to replace Andy Allen on MasterChef Australia?

According to the insider, showrunners were reportedly looking at Season 15’s Declan Cleary as a potential replacement for the great Andy Allen.

“Nothing’s set in stone just yet — but Declan is made for TV, and the whispers are louder than a pressure test countdown,” the insider told Woman’s Day.

“He’s got the cooking credentials, the personality, the backstory, and let’s be honest — the fan base. Declan’s just waiting for someone to hand him the tasting spoon and make it official.”

This isn’t the first time the MasterChef Australia judging panel has been rocked by replacement rumours. Last year, an insider claimed to New Idea that Poh Ling Yeow would be replaced by Julie Goodwin.

“Julie would be a fantastic judge. Fans love her,” the insider told the publication.

“While no one wants to see Poh leave, everyone would welcome Julie back with open arms.”

Network 10 swiftly shut down the rumours, labelling them as false.
