Netflix's The Witcher gets last trailer as release date for season three draws near

Netflix has released the latest trailer for season three of its epic fantasy series The Witcher. The season will be the last to star Superman actor Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.

The Witcher is based on the Polish book series of the same name, which follows a monster hunter Geralt as he protects his adopted daughter Ciri. The TV show has been a huge success following the book series and a video game franchise.

Netflix has now released a new trailer (published on June 26, 2023) for season three of The Witcher. It also announced that the new show will be ready to watch in a matter of days. The new season will be aired in two volumes across June and July.

The streaming company published the latest trailer online. Under the video, it wrote: "The ultimate battle begins... 3 days. #thewitcher."

In the trailer, Geralt can be seen talking to the bard Jaskier (played by British actor Joey Batey), debating with Ciri (Freya Allan) and fighting alongside the witch Yennefer (Anya Chalotra). You can watch the latest trailer for the show below.

Season three of The Witcher is set to be the last to star Henry Cavill, who left the role to work on other projects. He is being replaced by Liam Hemsworth.

Volume one of the season three will air on June 29. Volume two will then air on July 27.

There will be five episodes of the latest series. The episode titles have been revealed as:

  • Episode 301: “Shaerrawedd”
  • Episode 302: “Unbound”
  • Episode 303: “Reunion”
  • Episode 304: “The Invitation”
  • Episode 305: “The Art of Illusion”
