Netflix down across UK as users struggle to access streaming platform

Netflix users are currently unable to access the service's films and TV shows due to a technical problem with the streaming giant.

Multiple users have reported issues with using the platform, with issues first being recorded at around 10.30am this morning.

The DownDetector website has confirmed the issues, with UK cities hit hardest by the outage, however it would appear the issue may also be worldwide.

On DownDetector, one user said: "NSES-500 here too in UK Win10 Pro, Chrome 88 & Chrome 89). Sounds like a broken deployment - I can imagine some sweaty-palmed engineers right now looking to roll back a release and waiting for a telling off!"

Another added: "Error Code NSES-500 cannot connect but internet is working fine and I've cleared internet browsing history and cache."

Some people have taken to Twitter to ask about the website failure, with people pointing out the same "something went wrong" message appearing on the platform.

It is not currently known how long Netflix will be down for, with the company not yet releasing a statement.
