Neil Lennon was full of praise for his Celtic stars after they dominated managerless Kilmarnock to get back to winning ways tonight.
The Hoops cruised to a 4-0 victory at Rugby Park as skipper Scott Brown, a double from Odsonne Edouard and Albian Ajeti put Killie to the sword.
Celtic are now 20 points behind Premiership leaders Rangers – who weclome St Johnstone to Ibrox tomorrow night – and still have a game in hand.
And boss Lennon was pleased to see his team put Saturday's dismal defeat at home to St Mirren behind them with an accomplished showing in East Ayrshire.
He told Sky Sports: "It was a great performance and exactly the reaction I was looking for after the performance at the weekend. It was totally night and day. We were excellent from start to finish.
"We have to be more consistent; consistent in the 90 minutes and consistent from here on in. But that was far more like us.
"I'm not setting any targets. Tonight was all about playing well and winning. We have done that.
"The next step is to play well and win again."
On Ajeti's display, Lennon said: "He's worked hard at his fitness. He's had fitness issues and hopefully he can get a run of games now. He looked very strong tonight and complemented Odsonne very well. It was a good night's work for him."
The manager also praised French forward Edouard after he bagged a brace and said: "He's a wonderful player when he is on his game and his second goal was a thing of beauty. He'll be delighted to be back among the goals."
Goal hero Ajeti added: "We are very happy. It was a great team performance.
"I'm happy I could play 90 minutes and help the team. I don't put pressure on myself because I know can score or assist my team-mates. But it's always nice to score."
