Neil Lennon pans 'immature' Celtic stars after shock Livingston defeat

Neil Lennon has hit out at his "immature" and "emotional" Celtic stars after their shock 2-0 defeat to Livingston.

Goals from Scott Robinson and Lyndon Dykes condemned the champions to their first loss of the season.

Ryan Christie was sent off for a high challenge on Robinson, while the likes of Christopher Jullien was guilty of getting involved in unnecessary altercations with Dykes throughout the 90 minutes

And Lennon has criticised his players for getting drawn into silly incidents and not being able to keep a cool head.

The Northern Irishman also was disappointed in the manner his side conceded their two goals to Livingston.

He told Celtic TV: "I thought we were fine until the red card. That obviously had a huge bearing on the game and even at half time I thought we were still in it.

"We we really passive for the first goal in terms of our pressing around the box.

"We let Robinson turn and play a through ball without any pressure and that's not like us at all.

"Then we had a bit of work to do and I thought at 1-0, we were okay. Forcing the issue without creating anything clear cut.

"The pressure was mounting and then we conceded a really poor goal. A straight free kick over the top, it's something we have to accept.

"There was a bit of immaturity about us today, we got too involved with the emotions of the game instead of being cold and professional about it.

"We didn't really work the goalkeeper enough for my liking and losing Ryan was disappointing as well."
