SPFL chief-executive Neil Doncaster will not attend Ibrox on Sunday for the the unfurling of the Premiership title flag, according to a report.
Champions Rangers and the league body have been involved in a dispute over a new sponsorship deal with used-car firm cinch.
Rangers have refused to display any cinch branding at Ibrox and maintain they are under no obligation to promote the partnership as it impacts their own pre-existing commercial agreements.
Record Sport first revealed how the Ibrox club could instead unveil a homemade flag - with no mention of cinch - for their title party against Motherwell.
And now The Scottish Sun report neither Doncaster nor SPFL chairman Murdoch MacLennan will be present.
The SPFL asked the SFA to intervene in the dispute but Rangers chairman Douglas Park successfully went to court to prevent an arbitration case proceeding against the club.
The record cinch deal, agreed back in June, is believed to be worth around £1.6million per season.
