Eight people living in an Eccles estate have become £1,000 richer, after the street was named as the daily winner in the postcode lottery.
Neighbours on Chesterfield Close found out that they had netted the windfall earlier today (Monday May 11) when M30 8EJ was announced as a daily prize winner.
The lottery, which costs £10 a month to play, awards prize money to a different postcode each day.
People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson congratulated the residents of Chesterfield Close.
He said: “What a brilliant surprise to start off your week!
"Congratulations to our winners.”
A minimum of 32pc of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have raised more than £500 million to date for thousands of good causes in Britain and beyond.
