Sligo’s win in Derry on Friday has left the Rebels rooted to the bottom of the table on goal difference.
But with 13 games to go, City hope their lockdown restructuring can pay dividends with Graham Cummins and Kevin O’Connor back on the books.
New strikers Kit Elliott and Scott Fenwick both arrived from England this week but miss today’s game and the Waterford clash because of quarantine.
Rebels boss Fenn said: “Bohs are a difficult team and the fact they’ve been back longer than us is an advantage.
“They’ve been able to train more and play more friendlies but the best way of testing yourself is playing matches against good opposition.”
Bohs boss Keith Long said: "Wherever our supporters are watching the stream we hope to give them a good performance and a result.
"It’s about getting off to a positive start but we’ve never had it easy at Turner's Cross and the break has afforded Cork a chance to regroup.
"There's an element of the unknown going into this but there won't be any complacency on our part.”
City striker Conor Davis, who has been a peripheral figure after his move over the winter, is out for the rest of the season as he needs hip surgery.
