NBA Twitter reacts to Thunder’s win over Raptors, 110-109

The Oklahoma City Thunder traveled across the border as they took on the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday. In a 110-109 win, Canadian natives Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Lu Dort combined for 48 points in their return home, whom both expressed excitement about being able to return home and play in front of friends and family.

“It’s an exciting feeling (knowing) all my friends and family are in the stands, said Gilgeous-Alexander after the game. “It was electric, every time I’ve been here, it has been. It’s really fun to play here for sure.”

“It was great to have a lot of my people from Montreal, said Dort after the game. “It’s always good to be back in the country.”

The game marks two straight wins for the rebuilding Thunder after being humiliated last week in a historic 73-point loss. The team took three days off before beginning a quick, two-game road trip in Detroit and Toronto. The Thunder were able to defeat the rebuilding Detroit Pistons on Monday.

NBA Twitter was in awe of this entertaining fourth quarter as two Canadian natives made their return home and left with a win despite being a millisecond away from an undrafted rookie Justin Champagnie game-winner.
