NBA Twitter reacts to Game 6 Klay helping Warriors advance to Western Conference Finals after eliminating Grizzlies

For the first time in years, “Game 6 Klay” made an appearance in the postseason. With the reputation of his famous nickname on the line, Klay Thompson delivered for the Golden State Warriors.

Thompson notched a game-high 30 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the floor with eight triples to help the Warriors eliminate the Memphis Grizzlies in six games and punch a ticket to the Western Conference Finals.

While Thompson helped with scoring, Kevon Looney took over on the glass. After getting the nod in the starting lineup, Looney grabbed a dominant 22 rebounds. Looney led the Warriors to an NBA season-high 70 total boards. Draymond Green and Andrew Wiggins finished the contest with double-figure numbers in the rebound column.

As Thompson and Looney kept the Warriors in the game against a gritty Grizzlies squad, Steph Curry was quiet through the first three quarters. However, when it was time to close out the Grizzlies, the Warriors’ two-time Most Valuable Player came through clutch. Curry tallied 11 points in the fourth quarter with three triples to finish the Grizzlies. Curry finished the contest with 29 points on 10-of-27 shooing from the field with seven boards and five assists.

After the Warriors reserved a spot in the Western Conference Finals, the NBA community on Twitter chimed in with different reactions.
