NBA's Kris Humphries drops $6.2 million on a house in Beverly Hills

July 22--Kris Humphries has a new home court in the 90210.

After kicking the tires on Scooter Braun's contemporary above Sunset Strip, the Washington Wizards big man and second husband of Kim Kardashian has paid $6.2 million for a home in Beverly Hills.

The gated home, built in 1961, sits back from the street on more than three quarters of an acre with views extending from downtown to the coastline.

Some 3,300 square feet of open living space is highlighted by walls of glass, skylights, a center-island kitchen and a den with a wet bar. A two-sided fireplace divides free-flowing living and dining rooms.

The master suite has a fireplace, a large soaking tub and a walk-in closet for a total of three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms. An additional bedroom is currently used as an office.

Glass doors open to a covered terrace with a barbecue and wet bar. A kidney-shaped swimming pool with a spa completes the setting.

The house came on the market in May for $6.495 million, records show. It previously sold for $1.15 million in 1999.

James Harris, David Parnes and Mauricio Umansky were the listing agents. Jason Oppenheim of the Oppenheim Group represented Humphries, according to the Multiple Listing Service.

Humphries, 30, has spent 11 seasons in the NBA for the Jazz, Raptors, Nets, Celtics and Wizards. He averaged 8 points and 6.5 rebounds in 64 games with Washington last year.

Besides his basketball status, Humphries is known for his brief marriage to reality television star Kim Kardashian.
