It’s not officially the NBA offseason until a video of Ben Simmons practicing his three-point shot hits social media. On Monday, it happened … finally.
Simmons is coming off an underwhelming postseason performance that has left his Sixers status in serious doubt. Simmons averaged just 9.9 points per game in the Sixers’ second-round loss to the Hawks, and his offensive limitations took much of the blame.
But the criticism of Simmons’ game isn’t anything new. He hasn’t been able to shoot since he came into the league, and we still see videos of him working on his outside shot in the offseason. All that work has led to five career makes from 3-point range in 34 attempts.

So, when a video of Simmons shooting 3s with Rajon Rondo hit Twitter, fans were done getting excited this time around.
