NBA fans are obliterating ‘Playoff P’ Paul George after awful Game 7 performance

The Los Angeles Clippers were considered by most basketball experts to be an NBA title favorite in the bubble, but after a stunning collapse to blow a 3-1 series lead against the Nuggets, the organization now faces some serious questions about its future with both Kawhi Leonard and Paul George only under contract for one more season.

The Clippers’ superstars were horrible in Game 7 on Tuesday night, and the rest of the team wasn’t much better. Leonard and George combined for just 24 points on 10-of-38 shooting, and went scoreless in the fourth quarter. The Clippers’ entire starting five managed to score just eight more points (48) than Jamal Murray did in 45 minutes on the court (40).

There is plenty of blame to go around in the Clippers locker room, but fans have been roasting Paul George in particular, who contradicted himself after the loss by saying it wasn’t a “championship-or-bust” year for Los Angeles. In 2018, while he was with the Thunder, George gave himself the “Playoff P” nickname, and fans may never let him forget it after putting up a stat line of 10-4-2 with five turnovers in Game 7.
