Far too often, trying to book away tickets is a trying affair.
For Leeds United supporters, supply always outstrips demand, leaving many fans empty-handed, while getting stuck in ticketing system queues is one of modern life's more frustrating endeavors.
However, nearly 18 months since Leeds United's last away day, social media is awash with delighted Whites fans who have secured their first match tickets since the beginning of the pandemic.
Tickets for next Wednesday night's pre-season friendly at Ewood Park went on sale on Tuesday afternoon, with an initial batch of 4,500 tickets up for grabs as Leeds get set to play in front of their biggest away crowd since the 4-0 win at Hull City on February 29, 2020.
That win saw Marcelo Bielsa's men strengthen their grip at the top of the table, but was to be their final away match before the sport was suspended.
Since then, the stands have been empty, save for a few matches at the end of 2020 and the final two games of last season, with no away supporters permitted.
It is little surprise that fans are so excited to finally get their hands on match tickets, with a host of supporters taking to Twitter to express their delight.
The trip to Ewood Park comes 24 hours after Leeds visit Nethermoor Park for their first match of the pre-season schedule, with the non-league ground acting as aperitif for a trip across the Pennines which has often seen Leeds' biggest away-day followings of the season in recent years.
