5 shot, including 3 juveniles, in shooting at barbershop on Chicago's West Side, officials say
CHICAGO _ Chicago police and fire crews Thursday evening were on the city's West Side, where three boys and two men were wounded while getting their hair trimmed at a barbershop.
Paramedics got the call at 6:17 p.m. of the attack in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, said Deputy District Chief Curtis Hudson, a Chicago Fire Department spokesman.
On the scene, they found three juveniles under the age of 15 and two adults who were shot, Hudson said.
Chicago police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi tweeted that the attack happened at a barbershop. They were getting haircuts when someone opened fire in the business, said Chicago Police Superintendent Charlie Beck at an unrelated event.
All victims' conditions are stabilized, according to Beck.
