Nathan Patterson eyes Rangers return in the future as Everton star cites unfinished Ibrox business

Nathan Patterson has revealed he’d love to return to Rangers one day and finish his career at Ibrox.

The 21-year-old left his boyhood club for Everton in January for a record-breaking £16 million transfer fee. Patterson is now a regular at Goodison Park under boss Frank Lampard and Scotland’s first-choice right-back. He has a bumper contract with the Toffees which runs to 2027 and he’s loving life in the Premier League.

But Patterson says he has unfinished business at Rangers where he started his career under ex-gaffer Steven Gerrard. He admits he’d love to play for the club again in the future and win more silverware. In an exclusive interview with Mailsport , Patterson said: “Of course I’d love to go back to Rangers later on in my career and finish what I started. It would be great to finish at Ibrox. It’s where I started off my career so it would be nice to play in front of those fans again.

“There’s a bit of unfinished business for me. I was involved in 55 but I’d like to go back and get more titles.

“I went to Seville last summer for the Europa League Final and hoped they could win it but they just fell short. Just seeing Rangers in a European final again was massive, though, and it shows how far the club has come.

“But right now, I’m really happy at Everton and want to continue to progress here and I’m fully focused on doing well at Goodison.”
