Nate Burleson thinks Patriots RBs are most electrifying position group in NFL

The New England Patriots’ running backs are turning heads.

They haven’t played together beyond spring practices. On paper, however, they’ve got one of the most impressive combinations of talent. NFL Network analyst Nate Burleson made the case on Monday on “Good Morning Football” that the Patriots running backs are the most electric position group in the NFL.

“I don’t think there’s another group that you can watch each week and not know where the ball is going,” Burleson said. “Sony Michel, James White’s fantastic, Rex Burkhead is fantastic. Damien Harris, he was Alabama’s leading rusher last year. So I think maybe the Buffalo Bills have a running back room where you can say, ‘Who’s gonna get the ball?’ Bigger names, older guys, though. When it comes to variety being the spice of life, you can’t call it who’s gonna get the ball for this team (Patriots).”

That’s not even including Brandon Bolden, who may not be a standout as a ball-carrier but he is an excellent (and perhaps even electrifying) special teams player.
