Nando's to reopen 40 more restaurants across the UK for delivery tomorrow – including 16 in London

Piri-piri chicken connoisseur Nando’s has revealed it will reopen another 40 restaurants across the UK tomorrow, almost doubling the number currently operating.

The cult-favourite restaurant chain will add to the 54 UK locations now open for either delivery via Deliveroo or its new click-and-collect service (or both), which currently includes 21 locations in London.

All restaurants are operating “behind closed doors”, and are not offering a dine-in service in line with current government regulations. They are serving a reduced menu, that includes the likes of it peri-peri chicken wings, butterfly chicken, halloumi sticks and peri chips.

The 40 new openings will raise the number of Nando’s restaurants open in London to 37, with the following locations newly reopening in the capital:

  • Ealing
  • Camden
  • Kingston
  • Putney
  • Brixton
  • Wood Green
  • Shepherds Bush
  • Elephant and Castle
  • Wimbledon
  • Goodge Street
  • Park Royal
  • Spitalfields
  • Colliers Wood
  • Mile End
  • Enfield - Retail Park
  • East Croydon

The full list of UK restaurants opening outside of London is below:

  • Birmingham - Star City
  • Nottingham - Cornerhouse
  • Oxford - Cowley Road

Nando’s will also offer all “chillies” loyalty points for all orders placed through its website, which are redeemable when the restaurants reopen fully.

The chicken chain was one of the first big restaurant groups to partially reopen, initially trialling service at five UK restaurants (and one in Dublin) serve NHS workers only back in April.

This week’s reopenings mean that 94 of its 422 sites will have resumed food service, following the closure of all sites at the end of March.
