Naked Education hit with over 900 Ofcom complaints as adults pose nude in front of children

Channel 4 show Naked Education has been hit with 930 Ofcom complaints after adults posed nude in front of children.

The show, fronted by Anna Richardson, Love Island star Dr Alex George and Yinka Bokinni, has been hit with nearly a thousand complaints following scenes that aired last week, which saw naked adults pose in front of children.

Naked Education is trying to get rid of the taboos surrounding bodies and help to educate the nation about bodies and what they look like. The programme is "body positive" and wants to normalise all types of bodies, but came under fire for its content.

Naked Education received 930 Ofcom complaints (Channel 4)

In the first episode, angry viewers slammed the show for showing children the naked bodies of strangers.

"Channel 4 Naked Education is NOT it. Showing children under 16 MINORS, people, strangers I should say, standing fully naked in front of them. WHY? Absolutely not. They do NOT need to see strangers fully naked to be educated on the body," one viewer wrote.

A second added: "#NakedEducation on @Channel4 right now. I'm not sure 15 year old children should be seeing live naked bodies of men and women in front of them," as a third penned: "I have just watched #NakedEducation on #Channel4 . They were also showing naked grown ups to young teenagers. It has come to UK now."

Some viewers said it went too far (Channel 4)

Anna had previously defended Naked Education, but said it went one step further than her dating show Naked Attraction.

"Naked Education is sort of one step further than Naked Attraction, as it says: 'Let’s normalise bodies, let’s have the conversation about what we go through and let’s educate the nation.' I like to make shows that are controversial, that break taboos and that make a difference, and with every single show that I’ve done you can tick one of those boxes," she explained ahead of the series debut.

Fellow host Dr Alex said he wanted to improve people's mental health in relation to their bodies.

Anna Richardson is one star fronting Naked Education (Channel 4)

"I am SO excited to finally be able to share that I am presenting the brand new Channel 4 series Naked Education alongside the wonderful Anna Richardson and Yinka Bokinni. Don't worry my clothes do remain on," he wrote on Instagram.

"When I say this series is going to get people talking, I mean it. It will have you laughing one minute and in tears the next. The show is all about body positivity and educating people on what 'normal' bodies actually look like. We talk about everything from the ageing body to [penis] size, answering the questions people are afraid to ask."
