Najee Harris denies ESPN ‘MNF’ story about him sleeping on the floor at Alabama

It’s been written about countless times: Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris grew up in the Bay Area and spent years living in a homeless shelter.

But when he got to Alabama, he didn’t sleep on the floor for the first few months.

Yet that was the anecdote told by Steve Levy on Monday Night Football in the Steelers’ win over the Chicago Bears, as you’ll see below.

Harris took to Twitter to deny that happened, which made everyone wonder: If that was the case, where did that story come from?

It appears Levy got his Alabama players mixed up: Josh Jacobs, a former Crimson Tide running back who also dealt with homelessness in Oklahoma, actually did sleep on the floor during his first few months at Alabama.

Per the site, a Bleacher Report article backs up the Jacobs story. So it might have just been an Alabama RB mix-up.
