Nadine Coyle says Sarah Harding is 'priority' as she battles breast cancer

Nadine Coyle has shut down rumours of a Girls Aloud reunion, saying that Sarah Harding's health is "priority".

In August last year, Sarah announced she is battling breast cancer that had spread to other parts of her body, for which she is undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions.

Girls Aloud will celebrate their 20th anniversary next year, but Nadine has said that they aren't thinking about how they're going to mark the milestone while Sarah is ill.

Speaking on an Instagram Live, Nadine said: "I would love to be like 'yes, this is what we are doing' - at the minute it is very much thinking about Sarah, very much being there for Sarah.

"It is a really unfortunate time for her and the whole thing is like 'come on, come on' because that could be the priory talking about 'shall we go do a tour' or 'should we do something'?"

Nadine added: "Instead we are worried about Sarah, so we are focusing everything.

"That is the main priority."

Last year Sarah took to her Instagram account to share the devastating news.

Sharing a picture of herself in hospital, Sarah said: "There's no easy way to say this and actually it doesn't even feel real writing this, but here goes.

"Earlier this year I was diagnosed with breast cancer and a couple of weeks ago I received the devastating news that the cancer has advanced to other parts of my body.

"I'm currently undergoing weekly chemotherapy sessions and I am fighting as hard as I possibly can.

"I understand this might be shocking to read on social media and that really isn't my intention.

"But last week it was mentioned online that I had been seen in hospital, so I feel now is the time to let people know what's going on and this is the best way I can think of to do so.

"My amazing mum, family and close friends are helping me through this, and I want to say a thank you to the wonderful NHS doctors and nurses who have been and continue to be heroes.

"I am doing my very best to keep positive and will keep you updated here with how I'm getting on.

"In the meantime I hope you’ll all understand and respect my request for privacy during this difficult time. Sending you all so much love….xx"

In February, Sarah updated her fans, revealing she'd spent a quiet Christmas at home with her mum and she's been able to finish her upcoming book in-between her cancer treatments.

She said: "Thank you for the love and support, on bad days it helps me so much. So here's a little update from me... Mum, the dogs and I had a really lovely but quiet Christmas together, which was different to my usual, but seemed a fitting way to end such a strange year.

"And since then, in between treatments and hospital visits I've managed to finish my book!

"I can't believe I've actually gone and done it and it's now at the printers! I'm so excited for it to come out."
