Naby Keita starts as Liverpool make EIGHT changes for Wolves in FA Cup

Jurgen Klopp makes eight changes in total for the FA Cup replay at Wolves as Naby Keita makes his first start of the season.

Keita made his long-awaited return in last month's Carabao Cup loss at Manchester City but starts for the first time since May as Klopp's side are hosted in a third-round replay at Molineux.

The Reds will meet Brighton in the fourth round if they manage to negotiate a way past their hosts but Klopp has rung the changes ahead of Saturday's lunchtime visit from Chelsea in the Premier League.

James Milner starts at right-back in a back four that includes Ibrahima Konate, Joe Gomez and Kostas Tsimikas, while Caoimhin Kellher is selected in goal.

In midfield, Thiago Alcantara keeps his place from Saturday's dismal 3-0 defeat at Brighton alongside Keita as Stefan Bajcetic is named at the back of the midfield trio for just his third Liverpool start.

Keita has so far made seven appearances from the bench for Klopp's men but makes his first appearance from the start since the final Premier League game of last term when Liverpool beat Wolves 3-1 at Anfield.

Up top, Klopp has named the untried trio of Harvey Elliott, Cody Gakpo and Fabio Carvalho, who returns for his first minutes since being brought off at half time in the 3-2 defeat at City last month.

A strong-looking substitutes' bench does afford Klopp the opportunity of introducing Mohamed Salah, Fabinho, Andy Robertson or Joel Matip should they be needed.

Liverpool: Kelleher; Milner, Konate, Gomez, Tsimikas; Bajcetic, Keita, Thiago; Elliott, Gakpo, Carvalho.

Subs: Alisson, Fabinho, Salah, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jones, Robertson, Matip, Phillips, Doak.
