A man was left baffled when he spotted two Mercedes-Benz cars parked in his street with identical number plates.
The mystery was deepened further by the fact both cars are silver and appear to be the same model, although pictures show one of the vehicles has a dent in the rear bumper.
A quick search on the DVLA vehicle checker shows that the number plate is registered to a silver Mercedes and it is taxed until February 2023, with an MOT due in the same period.
John Gargett, a lifelong resident who has become a crime-fighting crusader on the troubled estate, first spotted the two vehicles, reports YorkshireLive.

Mr Gargett says he was alarmed by the two Mercedes Benz vehicles of identical make, model and colour which had the exact same plates.
He said: "Two cars parked across the street were on the same number plate front and rear.
"I reported this to 101. This was given a priority 8, and two PCSOs attended"
The area's police force confirmed cops had checked out the street.
South Yorkshire Police said it had attended the road and "spoken to the owner of both vehicles".
According to the police, the identical vehicles are registered for different plates although one of the vehicles is being used for spare parts.
Police say the identical number plates were placed on the wrong vehicle, stating: "Advice has been given and the mistake is being rectified."
Autotrader currently has Mercedes-Benz motors from 2006 listed for sale for a price of between £2,000 and £5,000.
