Mykhaylo Mudryk delivers verdict on £29.9m Arsenal transfer with cryptic Instagram message

Arsenal continue to be linked with reinforcements ahead of transfer deadline day.

The Gunners have been one of the more active clubs in the market ove the past couple of months, spending more than £100m - for the third time in four summers under the sole ownership of Stan Kroenke's KSE (Kroenke Sports and Entertainment) - on five new signings.

And amid links to the likes of Leicester City midfielder Youri Tielemans, Wolves winger Pedro Neto and Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha, there's still time for Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu to complete at least one more deal before Thursday's deadline.

Signing a winger and/or a central midfielder is certainly a popular demand amongst some Gunners supporters on social media and the need for Arteta to bolster his options in the middle of the park could be even greater depending on the severity of Mohamed Elneny's hamstring injury.

With that said, if recent reports are to be believed, Arsenal's priority between now and deadline day is to sign a winger and Shakhtar Donetsk youngster Mykhaylo Mudryk is the latest name said to be on their radar as a deal for Neto is looking increasingly unlikely to materialise.

Unsurprisingly, talk of the Gunners potentially signing one of the most talented youngsters in European football has garnered plenty of excitement amongst the fanbase and apparently the Ukraine international himself has taken to social media to deliver his verdict on the prospective transfer.

On Instagram, the 'transfers' account posted a mock-up image of Mudryk in a Gunners shirt with the caption that read: "BREAKING‼️ Arsenal are pushing for 21-year-old Mykhaylo Mudryk. Shakhtar Donetsk will sell him if valuation is met. The Gunners believe €35m is enough, Everton had a bid of €30M rejected. Personal terms easy for Arsenal… Talks Ongoing."

This was simply a relayed message from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano who took to Twitter on Monday night to provide an update on what Arsenal fans could expect during the final hours of the summer transfer window.

And, as seen in the screenshot below, the aforementioned Mudryk has seemingly given his approval to the deal by liking the picture as he could become the latest addition to the first-team squad at the Emirates Stadium this summer after Gabriel Jesus, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos and compatriot Oleksandr Zinchenko all joined the Gunners.

Of course, Mudryk 'liking' the post is no guarantee that he will be joining Arsenal from Shakhtar Donetsk this summer, but his social media activity has certainly caused a meltdown on Twitter as a large section of supporters have taken his actions to mean a transfer is rather imminent.

An exciting winger who has previously drawn comparisons with Paris Saint-Germain and Brazil superstar Neymar, the 21-year-old, a per Football Talent Scout, is known for his pace, acceleration, dribbling, versatility and creativity, whilst being two-footed means he can operate on either flank across Arsenal's forward line.

All of which would make him an ideal signing for the north London outfit if a deal can get completed, although as Mudryk is still relatively young, he is far from the finished product, with his two senior goals for Shakhtar so far highlighting where he can improve under the tutelage of Arteta.
