'My fiancée is furious after I invited her high school bullies to our wedding'

A bride-to-be was reduced to tears after her fiancé invited her school bullies to their wedding.

The 32-year-old anonymous female went into "panic mode" when reading the guest list of her big day.

To her surprise, she spotted the names of a group of people that "heavily bullied and harassed her" and "made her life hell" in school.

Although a long time ago, she says the experience has "caused her mental health permanent damage" - resulting in a heated argument with her fiancé.

Seeking advice on Reddit, the 33-year-old groom said: "I asked if she was serious because this was many years ago and everyone has matured by now.

"She said no and that it doesn't make sense that I want to invite them when I don't even hang out with them since God knows when...

"She said she'll veto my decision but I argued that it was ridiculous that she is so hung up on some petty high school drama. She started crying saying I have no consideration for how she feels and felt like I was prioritising this group over her".

The anonymous man says they're still arguing about the situation and was branded "selfish" by his partner.

The Reddit thread attracted hundreds of comments, with the majority siding with the future bride.

"Let me get this straight, you want to invite them because 'back in the day' you hung out with them, but her being bullied does not count because it's 'years ago'?" One user wrote.

"Bullying leaves deep scars... What your fiancée went through might be "years ago" to you, but I guarantee you that she still struggles with the longterm damage, even now," another added.
