Musk unveils new AI animated ‘companion’ named Valentine

  • Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company, xAI, has launched new AI-powered chatbot companions.
  • These features enable users to interact with customizable animated characters, driven by xAI's Grok chatbot.
  • One new companion, named Valentine, is described by Musk as having a personality inspired by Edward Cullen from Twilight and Christian Grey from 50 Shades of Grey.
  • Two other controversial AI companions, Ani and Bad Rudy, have also been introduced, with Ani exhibiting sexually explicit behavior and Bad Rudy responding with vulgar and violent language.
  • The National Center on Sexual Exploitation has called for the removal of the Ani chatbot due to concerns over its 'childlike' appearance and promotion of high-risk sexual behavior.
