A teenager has died a week after a double stabbing outside a McDonalds in south east London.
Yeray Sanchez-Morales, 17, lost his fight for life in hospital on Wednesday.
Another 17-year-old boy was left injured in the incident near the restaurant in Old Kent Road, Bermondsey, just after 10.45pm on August 27.
On Thursday, a boy aged 15 appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court charged with murder, grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon.
In a five-minute hearing, he spoke only to confirm his personal details which cannot be reported for legal reasons.
District Judge Sarah Turnock remanded him into youth detention accommodation to appear at the Old Bailey on Monday.
The second victim was taken to hospital where his injuries were deemed non life-changing or threatening and he has since been discharged.
Hours before Yeray died, London mayor Sir Sadiq Khan said the capital had recorded no under-25s killed during the school summer holidays.

So far in 2025, he added, the first eight months saw the lowest number of homicides of young people for 22 years, and the fewest teenagers murdered since 2012.
It is likely he did not know about Yeray’s condition and the teenager did not die in August.
Sir Sadiq and Metropolitan Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley vowed to continue building on work to tackle violence across the capital.
Detective Chief Inspector Kate Blackburn, of Specialist Crime South, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with Yeray’s family at this unimaginably difficult time.
“They are being supported by specialist officers.
“The incident took place in the middle of the road outside the McDonalds on Old Kent Road and there were many witnesses.
“Were you in the area at the time of the stabbing? Were you driving and have dash cam footage of the Old Kent Road? Did you witness the incident?”
London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10.44pm on Wednesday, August 27 to reports of a stabbing on Old Kent Road, SE1.
“We sent resources to the scene, including ambulance crews, an advanced paramedic, a paramedic from our tactical response unit and an incident response officer. We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance, which consists of a doctor and a paramedic in a car.”
