Munster are gambling on the fitness of JJ Hanrahan for Sunday's must-win clash with Racing 92 in Paris.
Hanrahan has been out for a fortnight with a hamstring injury but, with Joey Carbery requiring wrist surgery and Tyler Bleyendaal still injured, Reds supremo Johann van Graan is taking a risk on the Kerry out-half being fit to last the place at the U Arena.
The squad will have a final training session at UL this afternoon, and Hanrahan will be put through his paces.
The other options that van Graan had were to start with either Academy no 10 Ben Healy, who only recently made his first senior PRO14 start, or centre Rory Scannell to move to out-half.
But Munster have gone with Hanrahan with Scannell as his back-up is he has to withdraw.
In further good news for the province, Andrew Conway and Mike Haley have shrugged off knocks to start.
Niall Scannell makes his 100th appearance at hooker, and there are eight changes from the side that lost heavily to Ulster a week ago.
Craig Casey and Shane Daly, who are on the bench, could make their European debuts.
