A mum has said she "decontaminates" her daughter when she returns home from school over fears she could contract coronavirus.
The parent, who lives in Australia, said she's turned into a "neurotic germ-phobic" since primary schools re-opened in early May after they were closed as part of the nation's lockdown.
Despite the killer virus being contained relatively well in Australia, the mum said she washes her daughter the minute she walks through the door after school.
Writing on Kidspot, mum Vanessa Stubbs asks: "Is anyone else putting their kid in the bath as soon as they walk in the door from school?!"
Explaining her "decontaminating" regime she said: "I usher her in and strip her down - uniform goes in the wash, and a soapy bath is had before afternoon tea.

"My child has become quite fond of this new normal, and enjoys getting into her pajamas before 4pm."
Vanessa holds her hands up and says she is aware her behaviour is "completely irrational" but said the "pandemic has pushed her firmly over the edge".
She added that despite her home being clean and tidy she has now turned it up a notch.
"I have cleaned more steering wheels, light switches, door handles and school uniforms in the past three months than in the past three years," she said.

Vanessa said she is not the only parent to have taken on a new regime, citing another mum who strips her little ones to their undies before they can step foot into the house.
She said the mum also wipes down her kids' school bags and homework books.
Vanessa, a mum-of-one, continued: "If your kids have got the germs from school, they've got the germs, and no amount of bathing or hand sanitising is going to help.
"Plus, we're doing playdates and sleepovers and family get-togethers...and yet, somehow there is this deluded sense of control in keeping our houses and bodies clean. And our children safe.

"Because really, that's what all this cleaning is about, isn't it? We just want them to be safe."
Vanessa had started to ease off with her regime but following a second wave in the state of Victoria she had ramped it up again and longs for the day when she doesn't need to do so.
She said: "I long for the day when hand sanitiser is once again associated only with taking on long haul flights and overseas holiday, Corona is the beer we drink there, and I can stretch a uniform the whole week without washing it."
In the UK Education Secretary Gavin Williamson has promised to get children back to school in September by doubling the 15-child limit on class sizes in primary schools.
The government will also ditch requirements for teachers to enforce the new ‘one metre plus’ social distancing measure - which comes into effect from July 4.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson said parents will be forced to send children back to school in September by law or face fines.
