Mum-to-be's 'dreadful' baby name choice causes a stir among other mums

Given how savage people can be, it's a wonder anyone actually still reveals their baby name preference.

Even after your baby is here and no one can contest their cuteness, trolls may still have a go over their name .

Still, that hasn't stopped on brave woman for discussing her choice of name online.

The unnamed mum took to Mumsnet to get some feedback on a name she was considering if her baby was a girl.

She may now be regretting putting it out there, because the ridicule was intense - honestly, where's the sisterhood?

Braving the shark-infested waters of other people's judgement, she asked:  "What do you think of Princess for a girl?"

One woman responded bluntly with "Dreadful".

"Awful" added another.

It didn't take long for someone to bring up Katie Price , who named her daughter Princess.

They wrote: "I think of Katie Price. I hate it . You should only be called Princess if you are a Princess."

Some more creative criticism read: "Unless your giving birth to a teacup chihuahua, it's a no from me."

Several mums seemed to think it was only OK if you had royal blood.

"No. Unless it's a title," one said.

Another added: "No. Unless you're a senior royal and planning to team it with a proper name."

And we somehow doubt Meghan Markle jumped onto Mumsnet for some last-minute feedback.
