A 15-year-old girl who went missing last weekend returned home after spending the night sleeping in a park.
Francheska Humphreys disappeared on Sunday morning from her Anfield home after going out to buy newspapers for her grandad.
The teenager walked back through the front door on Monday evening and said she was overwhelmed by how many friends were out looking for her.
Francheska said she'd spent the night sleeping on the floor in King's Park in Bootle, an area where she has a lot of friends.
When asked why she vanished, the popular Everton Free School pupil told mum Jasmine she felt like she needed some space.
Police visited the family's home yesterday and spoke to the teenager to check nothing untoward had happened to her.
Francheska stayed off school today but it is hoped she will return tomorrow.
The parent, 34, who also had a 15-month-old son, told the ECHO: "I'm so happy she's back.
"It's a massive relief."
Before she went missing, Francheska seemed happy enough, her family said, and was given £6 for the newspapers.
Her mum gave her extra cash to buy herself a drink.
Friends spent hours scouring the streets for the "girly girl, who loved her clothes, shoes and make-up," and her disappearance was widely publicised on social media.
The day before she went missing, Francheska was temporarily grounded and had her phone confiscated following a dispute with her mum.
