Any self-respecting cheese lover will know just how important it is to get your slicing technique right.
Whether you're planning to chow down on some Brie, Red Leicester or just a good old piece of Cheddar, it's important to make sure you slice it to absolute perfection.
However, a lot of the time this is easier said than done - or so we thought.
Luckily, one mum has shared her genius method for getting the perfect slice every time on social media, and for those of you who haven't thought of it before (yes, I know many of you will have tried it already), your lives are about to change forever.
The tip was originally shared on the Extreme Budget DIY & Life Hacks Facebook group.
Posting on the group, one woman said: "Probably my daftest moment ever – however, works an absolute treat.
"Use a peeler to slice your block of cheese!
"Perfectly slim slices of cheese in a fraction of the time it takes me to use a knife. #LifeHack.
"DISCLAIMER: I cannot be held legally responsible for any excess consumption of cheese that occurs as a result of trying this method out."
After the post was shared, it wasn't long before it went viral, racking up countless likes, comments and shares.
Writing under the post, one person said: "This is genius! How have I never thought of this."
"That's quite genius actually," added somebody else.
A third wrote: "I have a cheese slice that does not slice cheese properly, this is brilliant! Def gonna try this."
"Love it. Have been looking for something to slice cheese," said somebody else.
There were, of course, several people who said that they do this already - but the comments prove that for some people, it's a brilliant new idea, so it's not to be sniffed at!
