Mum's cruel carrot prank on two sons sends them into total meltdown

When preparing food, you have to be very careful while using sharp utensils so as not to injure yourself - but every now and then, accidents do happen.

One mum recently managed to chop her own finger off while making dinner for her family, or at least that's what she led her two sons to believe.

Felicity Crane went viral on TikTok last week, garnering over 41 million views with a one-minute video of her pranking her kids using a carrot and some food colouring.

In the clip, the mum-of-two is shown cutting up carrots for dinner, before carving one of the veggies into the shape of a finger.

She then covers it in red food colouring, to make it look like blood, saying: "Perfect, I'll just set the scene."

Felicity then bends her middle finger up and puts it near the bloodied carrot to make it look like she's badly hurt herself.

Next, she screams as loud as she can, causing both of her sons to come running in to the kitchen.

Continuing to scream, she instructs the young boys to "get something" to cover her injury with.

In a panic, one son grabs a pan from the sink and drops it on his mum's hand.

"Not that," she yells at him. "Get a towel. What are you doing?"

The other boy then grabs a towel, which like his brother he also drops on her hand.

Unimpressed with their efforts, the mum asks them to find her phone so she can call for help.

The eldest son asks her where she left it, so she points to it, showing them they are being filmed and that the whole thing is fake.

Felicity cracks up with laughter, while the boys groan in frustration and the younger adds that she'd made him "lose [his] appetite".

The video has been shared all over social media, with people on Twitter saying it left them "traumatised".

Another said: "Can't breathe!!!"

While a third commented: "I love her she's so evil to her kids it's beautiful."

Others felt sorry for her poor children, who looked genuinely stressed by the situation.
