A daughter has launched a desperate appeal for help after her mum's face was left bloodied and bruised following an unprovoked street attack in Milton at the weekend.
Megan Wright's mum Andrena was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary to receive treatment to her facial injuries following the sickening assault, which occurred on Haywood Street on Sunday evening.
Taking to Facebook, Megan wrote: "If anyone was around Haywood Street in Glasgow on Sunday and has any information on who done this to my mentally ill mum please message me."
Police confirm that enquiries are ongoing into the shocking incident.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "Around 7.55pm on Sunday, 8 November, 2020, we received a report that a 40-year-old woman had been seriously assaulted in the Haywood Street area of Glasgow.
"The woman was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment to facial injuries sustained. Enquiries are ongoing."
