A Scots nurse was surprised when she returned home from a 10-hour shift to find her kids had transformed her bedroom during the coronavirus lockdown.
Elizabeth Brannigan's daughters Laura, 23 and Gillian, 30, wanted to show their appreciation to their mum for risking her own life to care for elderly, dementia sufferers at Springboig Care Centre, Glasgow.
The girls decided to revamp mum-of-three Elizabeth's room whilst she was at work earlier this month.
Laura shared the emotional video of their mum seeing her surprise for the first time on social media.
Shocked Elizabeth can be heard saying: "Oh my God! Oh my God!"
Laura and Gillian, replenished the yellowed walls in fresh white paint, put on some new cushions and even treated their mum to a new grey velvet bed and matching curtains.
They removed the two photo frames on the wall and changed it to a stylish silver hanging decor.
Laura told the Daily Record: "She’s always working at the moment and we wanted to show her how much we appreciate her and what she does for us and everyone else around her.
"She was so shocked but loves her new room!
"I filmed it and put it on tik tok to spread some positivity and appreciation for our key workers at this difficult time."
The girls had planned the transformation a few week the surprise.
Laura said: "We ordered a load of stuff online for it to decorate it new, and gave it two coats of white paint.
"We fixed a feature to the wall instead of the old frames and put up a new curtain pole and curtains."
