Mum of identical triplets reveals how she tells them apart and people are baffled

Mums know their children better than anyone else. They will notice tiny birthmarks, their temperaments, their likes and preferences.

But what happens if you have three identical children? How does mum even start telling them apart?

It’s a question Meg Korzon faces every single day as a mum to adorable toddler triplets, who are identical in every single way.

Meg shares her parenting journey on her TikTok account, @ keepingupwiththekorzons and people are wowed by how she tells her sons apart.

In one of her videos, which has been viewed 2.7 million times, she shares her parenting hack on distinguishing between each of her boys, Oliver, Leo and Elias.

At the start of her clip, she explains: "People ask us all the time, how do I tell my identical triplets apart?"

But it turns out that her method is brilliantly simple. Explaining with a beaming smile, Meg says that she just does what all mums do every day: she looks at them and distinguishes them by their little quirks.

Mums can pick up on the tiniest of clues because they are around their babies all the time. Some of these may be invisible to others, but in this case, mums really do know best.

For viewers who are unable to work out who is who, Meg parades each baby in turn for the camera.

Oliver, chortling away in Meg's arms, is the smallest with a petite face. "He also gets frustrated," says Meg, "and [he] likes to be independent and has a clogged tear duct, which makes his eye watery and red."

Then we meet equally adorable Leo, "the 'middle-sized' one." He has a slightly narrower face than the others, says Meg, making his eyes appear bigger. "He also has a skin tag on his finger."

Finally, a chuckling Elias is introduced, the final brother in a trio of cuties. "He often scrunches up his nose, and has a rounder face," says Meg, "and he's also more adventurous than his brothers."

Having helped her TikTok followers distinguish between her identical boys, some viewers were still confused.

"You cannot tell me that this isn’t the same baby through the whole video!" said one comment, repeated by many others.

Another said: "All i see is Oliver in 3 different outfits."

One person suggested a far easier method of telling her boys apart, as they joked: "Her: so informative, individual attention to detail, personalities me: color [sic]coded wristbands."

Another TikToker gushed: "I think that’s so cute how they all have such different characteristics and facial expressions while looking the same."
