Mum-of-22 Sue Radford shares clever holiday packing hacks used by UK's biggest family

The mum of Britain's biggest family shared some clever tricks about how to pack items in a suitcase - for 22 children.

Sue Radford, from Lancashire, has the revealed some of her secrets when it comes to packing her family's rather large suitcase.

She took to YouTube after returning from a family holiday to Florida to show some of her best hacks for packing a suitcase with an extended family.

She said: “Good morning everyone and welcome to our packing vlog. So many people said ‘please film it, we love packing vlogs.”

Sue had used packing bags which she purchased from Amazon, she said: “Loads of people ask me on Instagram about these packing bags.

“They are absolutely amazing. I got mine from Amazon. You can get bigger ones like this.

“I put things like hair bobbles, clips, sunglasses in.”

She lifted another bag and commented: “These can be used for dirty laundry.”

Sue revealed each child has their own cube for their holiday clothes, where they can fit multiple cubes in one suitcase.

The famous mum then squeezes all the clothes in the bags to fit more space in.

She said: “You roll them like this, and it’s amazing how much stuff you can fit in them.

“It’s so easy, and when you get to wherever you are going, you can just pull them out of the suitcase.

“You don’t really need to unpack, which is great.”

To ensure luggage isn't left behind when catching a flight, Sue revealed she separates some of the luggage into different suitcases so if they get lost, each person at least has something to wear.

Sue explained: “I don’t know about anybody else, but I always worry when you go abroad and going on a plane that some of the luggage is going to get left behind.

“So what I do is separate it into different suitcases so if they do lose a suitcase, everybody has always got something when we get to the other side.

“Some of the swimming costumes are in one bag, some are in different suitcases, and then same with the kids’ clothing.”

After showing of some of her hack saving tips, Sue said her Disney-themed black bags were a bargain, she said: “These suitcases were £45 from Primark, amazing!”

Transportation can be an issue for a family of 22, therefore Sue has to hire two vehicles in Florida to get around in.

Noel, her partner, said in their vlog: “We’ve got a 15-seating minibus, which Sue is driving.

“And then over here we thought we’d hire a pick-up truck so we could just chuck all the cases in the back.”

Sue revealed only 15 of the family made the trip for the holiday, which included 13 kids plus the parents - with some of the older family staying put.

The family visited Disney and Universal theme parks on their trip away.

Sue, 46, and Noel, 51, are parents to Chris, 32, Sophie, 28, Chloe, 26, Jack, 25, Daniel, 23, Luke, 21, Millie, 20, Katie, 19, James, 18, Ellie, 16, Aimee, 16, Josh, 14, Max, 13, Tillie, 11, Oscar, 10, Casper, nine, Hallie, six, Phoebe, five, Archie, four, Bonnie, three, and Heidie, two.
