Mum left in stitches after catching son's rant to barking dog on doorbell camera

For us humans, it's easy to ignore outside noises while at home, such as the nonstop sound of traffic and delivery drivers dropping off packages.

But for dogs, who don't have a clue what's going on, it can mean they start barking...and just don't stop.

No matter how many times you tell them everything is fine, they just need to see it for themselves.

One teen's frustrated rant after his chihuahua wouldn't stop barking while he was watching TV left people in stitches after it was caught on a doorbell camera.

Mum Alison shared the footage online, adding that she watched it on her phone after being alerted that there was movement.

The video has been viewed nearly nine million times (alliegirlart/TIKTOK)

She wrote in the caption: "I’m at work and this just popped up. I was like what is he doing??

"I'm guessing Penelope was barking her head off inside and my 16-year-old was fed up."

After walking outside with the pooch, Ramon holds her up like she's Simba in the Lion King surveying Pride Rock, and points her in various directions.

He can be heard saying: "Look, Penelope! Look! There is nobody out here. Nobody.

"Do you see that? Do you see that? Look, love over here, there's nobody. Look over here, there's nobody.

"There is nobody out here."

The hilarious video has been viewed more than 8.6 million times on TikTok.

One viewer joked: "Penelope said this is my moment: THE CIRCLE OF LIFE."

"It's like he's offering the dog to the Gods," joked another.

A third added: "This is hilarious. He was D-O-N-E with her nonsense."

Another joked: "The dog is like I *swear* there was someone out here."
