Mum fuming after buying wrong lottery ticket - then realises she's won $10million

A mum accidentally won a $10million lottery prize for a ticket she never meant to buy when a rude man pushed past her and bumped her into the wrong buttons.

LaQuedra Edwards, 41, from California was only planning to spend $40 on a couple of lottery tickets in November 2021.

However, when she arrived at Tarzana, LA County Vons convenience store, a random man brushed past her and she was pushed against the California Lottery Scratchers machine.

As she fell against the machine, she then accidentally hit the wrong buttons and bought a single $30 200X Scratchers ticket.

After initially feeling rage as the rude man pushed past her, her fury soon changed into sheer joy as she got back to her car she realised she was in fact holding a life changing winning ticket worth $10million.

LaQuedra said: 'He just bumped into me, didn’t say a thing and just walked out the door.

'I’m still in shock. All I remember saying once I found out how much I just won was, "I’m rich!"'

The California resident was left in utter disbelieve she 'almost crashed' on the freeway due to the mind-boggling amount of money that was about to come her way and change her life forever.

She admitted when she got on the motorway, she couldn't take her eyes of the winning prize which almost put her life at risk.

LaQuedra confessed: "I got on the 405 freeway and kept looking down and it and almost crashed my car.

"I pulled over, looked at it again and again, scanned it with my [CA Lottery] app, and I just kept thinking this can't be right."

Once LaQuedra arrived back to her home, she started the ball rolling and put the wheels in motion to claim her life-changing sum of money.

After all the checks were completed and she was indeed about to become a multimillionaire, Edwards began to slowly take in the gravity of her win.

She has not worked out what to spend all the money on yet but has a couple ideas which will make her life easier.

Her first plan is to use some of the money she's won to buy a house and then to put some aside to start a non-profit.

The connivence store where she bought her ticket received $50,000 from CA Lottery.
