A mum and her son were forced to sleep in a toilet block and got stuck in quicksand while on the "worst holiday ever".
Ange Clarke endured the nightmare when she was camping at Haven Golden Sands in Mablethorpe on the Lincolnshire coast with her autistic Kayden, seven, on June 10.
She explained how they were forced to abandon their tent after heavy rainfall flooded it, before taking shelter in a toilet block on the site overnight, reports Lincolnshire Live.
Ms Clarke said: "The rain came into our tent and it flooded by at least six inches.
"Most of our belongings were absolutely soaked and at 12.30am we had to leave our tent. We called security who told us that they couldn't help us so we rang Lincolnshire Police.
"They suggested that we go into the toilets and use the hand warmers to warm ourselves up a bit."
Ms Clarke and Kayden stayed in there until they were discovered by a member of staff in the early hours of the morning.

After this, Ms Clarke had to pay more money to stay in a caravan on the site.
This is because the tent she had ordered from Millets arrived late and her order was mixed up, with the company sending her a much smaller tent which could not accommodate the two of them.
After relocating to a caravan, the pair decided to go on a walk and ended up on Donna Nook beach.
Ms Clarke says that after spotting a seal the pair ended up stuck in quicksand. They were eventually found and rescued by the coastguard, who told them that they were near an armed forces range and could have been "blown up" if they had gone much further.
She has criticised Golden Sands for not offering her enough support after her tent was flooded.
"The staff didn't care about us," she said.
"They were more worried about getting more money from us. They should have offered us a caravan for free after what happened.
"Obviously the weather wasn't their fault but we received no help after what happened.
"Kayden has been having nightmares thinking back to that night. We've had a really bad couple of weeks - it was the worst holiday ever."
A representative from Golden Sands has told Lincolnshire Live that the park offered Ms Clarke support after what happened and a discounted rate on the caravan she purchased after her tent was ruined.
A spokesperson for Golden Sands said: “We are sad to hear that Ms Clark did not feel supported by our park team after bad weather destroyed her tent earlier this month.
"While she was on a touring holiday in her own tent, the park team arranged for a caravan to be made available to her at a discounted rate so that she and her son could continue to enjoy their holiday as well as offer to help her move from her tent.
"We do feel we provided adequate assistance the morning after the storm and will review our extreme weather procedures but advise people always take full precautions to check their own camping equipment before going on touring holidays."
Ms Clarke states that she wants to thank the staff at Hope House in Mablethorpe who provided them with a food parcel so she could feed her son.
The pair have now returned back to Nottingham.
