Multiple Irish millionaires could come from next EuroMillions draw and you won't even need to match all numbers

Several Irish EuroMillions players could become millionaires after tomorrow night’s historical draw, which will see ticketholders get a second chance to play for the largest jackpot amount ever seen in a European lottery.

Tuesday night’s jackpot is guaranteed to be capped at an incredible €230 million after it reached the jaw-dropping amount in Friday night’s draw.

The jackpot will now remain capped at €230 million for up to a further four draws, with the additional funds that would have gone to the jackpot now flowing down to the next prize tier with a winner.

The National Lottery has predicted that tomorrow night’s draw will see an estimated €21 million flow down to the next prize tier, which means multiple players could become overnight millionaires.

Lotto bosses have urged players dreaming of becoming Ireland’s newest multi-millionaire to purchase their tickets early in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm cut-off time for sales on Tuesday evening.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “The EuroMillions jackpot has now officially hit record-breaking levels after reaching the highest amount ever seen in the game last Friday. While Tuesday’s jackpot is guaranteed to be capped at the hugely life-altering amount of €230 million, players will also have the chance to win even bigger than usual at a lower prize tier.

"As the jackpot is capped at €230 million, the additional funds that would usually be added to the jackpot will now flow down to the next prize tier at which there is a winner and in tomorrow night’s draw, we estimate this figure to be in the region of €21 million. This means that we could see a number of millionaires being made after tomorrow night’s draw – and that’s even if the jackpot isn’t won!”

“If a player in Ireland were to win the massive jackpot amount tomorrow night, they would take the title of 18th EuroMillions jackpot winner ever seen in Ireland.

"While EuroMillions players are sure to be dreaming of becoming Ireland’s newest multi-millionaire, we are encouraging players who are hoping to play, to purchase their tickets early either in-store, through the National Lottery app or at www.lottery.ie ahead of the 7.30pm deadline for ticket sales tomorrow evening.”

Meanwhile, a Daily Million player in Laois celebrated Sunday afternoon after scooping the top prize of €1 million in yesterday’s 2pm draw.

The winning numbers in Sunday’s 2pm Daily Million draw were: 02, 05, 13, 19, 28, 35, and the bonus was 17.

A spokesperson for the National Lottery confirmed that the winning store location would be revealed on Tuesday.

Daily Million players in Laois are urged to check their tickets carefully as Sunday’s top prize winner is yet to come forward.

The weekend winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket and keep it safe. They should contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie, and arrangements will be made for them to claim their life-changing prize.
