Müller has announced that it is recalling some batches of Cadbury dessert products due to a possible Listeria contamination.
The company said it has taken the precautionary step because of the possible presence of Listeria monocytogenes.
The products which might be contaminated are: the Cadbury Daim Chocolate Dessert, Cadbury Crunchie Chocolate Dessert, Cadbury Flake Chocolate Dessert, Cadbury Dairy Milk Buttons Chocolate Dessert, Cadbury Dairy Milk Chunks Chocolate Dessert and Cadbury Heroes Chocolate Dessert (six pack).

Customers are urged to check the ‘use by’ dates for the affected products, which are May 17th and May 18th.
Possible symptoms caused by Listeria monocytogenes can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea.
Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems, the Food Standards Agency said in a statement.
Customers who have bought the items are urged not to eat them, and instead should return them to the store from where they were bought for a full refund (with or without a receipt).
