Ms. Marvel star says she was constantly calling out plot holes on the set of The Marvels

Iman Vellani, Brie Larson and Teyonah Parris in The Marvels.

Ms. Marvel star Iman Vellani is well known for being something of a Marvel encyclopaedia – and in a new interview she has revealed she brought this on to set a lot. The actor plays Kamala Khan in the MCU and has starred in her own Disney Plus show, Ms. Marvel, as well as the crossover sequel to Captain Marvel, The Marvels.

When filming on both of them, she revealed that she kept pointing out potential plot holes to watch out for. "At Marvel I was constantly calling out continuity errors while we were filming certain scenes," she explained on the Revenge Of podcast. "I was like, I know the Reddit nerds are going to call it out, I'm calling it out now, you have the opportunity to fix it now."

The actor didn't reveal exactly what moments she was talking about, but she explained how receptive those working on the projects were. "These things have to get approved by 40 different producers and all that. But I got so lucky that I was given so much space to express myself at Marvel. All of the producers I was working with on both the show and the film really respected my opinion."

Vellani said they were so happy with her insight that they even used her as "their secret weapon" when making sure they got key MCU moments right. Vellani hasn't returned as Ms. Marvel since the 2023 movie, but there have been plenty of rumors she might be coming back in Avengers: Doomsday.

This came after Andy Serkis seemingly let on to the fact that she'll be starring in the Marvel Phase 6 film. Doomsday is due to be released at the end of 2026. For more upcoming Marvel movies and shows, check out our guide to the Marvel timeline.
