Mrs Hinch fans share clever fork method for removing furniture indents in carpet

It always seems like a good idea to give your room a freshen-up, but those who have carpet flooring dread it more than most. Similar to those moving into a new abode, it's incredibly gruelling to revamp your furniture when there are indents imprinted into the floor.

It's often caused when furniture is sat on a soft surface for a long period of time - eventually leaving markings of where it had previously laid before it was removed. While it may seem like an impossible task to remove, Mrs Hinch fans have shared a game-changing hack to solve the common problem.

Seeking advice for the issue, a woman took to Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group - which boasts more than 625,000 members.

In her post, she wrote: "I've moved furniture which has left indents in carpets, any tips on how to get the carpet looking fresher again. Thanks in advance."

Keen to share their insightful advice, Mrs Hinch fans fled to the comment section - which has since raked in over 60 responses.

Sharing a common interest, several people raved about a simple ice hack, which involved simply leaving the ice cube in the indent.

"Ice evens it out," one person suggested.

A second person agreed: "Put an ice cube in the indent."

Meanwhile, someone else wrote: "Ice cube, let it melt then fluff up with a fork."

Another fan of using cutlery took to the comment section and said: "Rake with a fork!"

"Use a fork," a fifth penned.

Another Mrs Hinch fan said: "Ice cubes left overnight in the dents. Then fluff up with the suction from your hoover."

A different user commented in favour: "Damp the indent and gently scrap with the prongs of a fork."

On the other hand, someone else shared a different method entirely: "Damp towel and iron works wonders."
