Mrs Hinch fans share 45p way to remove pesky shop stickers from products

If you've ever purchased a present for a friend from a shop that annoyingly decides to place their stickers slap-bang in the middle of the packaging, you'll know how annoying it is, and the realisation can make your heart sink.

Sometimes, it may even put you off purchasing the product in question as you're worried about how you'll get the sticker off, not wanting to reveal that the gift was a bargain.

And of course, if you're a parent, you'll know how much of a gross sticky residue stickers will leave if they're put on your windows, doors - and basically anywhere kids can get their hands on.

But Mrs Hinch fans have shared their go-to tip to get stubborn stickers off products or any surfaces, so it means you never need to leave the bargain on the shelf ever again - or feel embarrassed at the Peppa Pig stickers littering your windows.

On the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook page, one stressed woman wrote: "How do you remove the shop stickers that won't budge from the glass within photo frames?"

Many fans of the cleaning guru suggested a sneaky 45p hack - and you likely have a lot of the product hanging around your house.

"Hand gel", someone suggested, and another agreed, commenting: "Hand sanitiser." Hand sanitiser can be bought from shops from as little as 45p.

Throughout the comments, the bacteria buster had been suggested multiple times.

Hand sanitiser works thanks to the alcohol in the product, which helps to cut through the adhesive of the sticker. You just need to rub it onto the sticker, let it sit for a few minutes, and then you can scrape the sticker off.

Recently, people were also shocked to learn that a popular McDonald's sauce makes the perfect polish for certain metals.

Have you ever tried hand sanitiser as a way to remove stickers? Let us know in the comments.
